These are just misc. damage skills that can be used from any position. They are
all pretty good damage and are a good example of why brigand is known for its quick
and numerous attacks. As you can see, two of the skills are on seperate timers at Tier 5.
In terms of usefulness, Waylay is by far the most useful with its 20 sec. recast timer and
good damage and debuff. The other skill, Desperate Thrust is on a 30 sec. timer and it
decreases both your defense and the targets defense. Waylay should be one of the first
adept3’s that you get and you can hold of on the other two until you get some of your
quick recast damage skills upgraded first. You should get Revoke adept3 right at level
57 as well and most likely Desparing Thrust at 58 because you should have more than
enough time to save up rares by this level.

You should already be aware that most of our debuffs are linked with damage
moves. This debuff line supplies the only pure debuffs we get; and they are not only
extremely useful for their debuffs, but also because they are able to flip HOs. As you can
see, this debuff line is very similar throughout the skills, with an increase in the debuff
component in each tier. Whether your in a group or soloing you should always keep this
debuff up as it lasts for about 30 seconds and only takes half a second to cast.

60 Stab 82 Flanking attack + DoT 229 – 383 melee damage
DoT by 166 every 4 sec
Our flanking attacks contribute a good portion of damage, especially the Gambit
line because of its 10 sec recast timer. The dot on Shiv also makes it extremely useful
as it ends up doing three extra ticks of damage. I highly recommend upgrading Gambit
to adept3 because of the good damage, quick recast, and the fact that you will not get
an upgrade to this skill in T6. You should also follow by getting a Shiv adept3 soon after
for T5. You will not get a T6 flanking attack until level 60 but when you do get Stab, it is
more than worthwhile to upgrade it to adept 3 as well.

Attack Speed Debuff

29 Disarming Thrust 27 Attack + reduce attack speed 80 – 133 crushing damage

43 Concealed Blade 40 Attack + attack speed debuff 126 – 210 melee damage
Decreases atk speed by 13.6%
57 Shrouded Blade 52 Attack + Attack speed debuff 192 – 320 melee damage
Decreases atk speed by 15.7%
The few attack speed debuffs that a brigand gets are actually quite useful. One
thing to note is that the attacks which say crushing damage will always be crushing
damage, despite the type of weapon you are using. Because scouts can’t use crushing
weapons this can sometimes be useful when you are fighting something that is weak to
crushing attacks. The negative side of this is that this skill is all but useless on on mobs
that are crushing immune. Once you hit your T5 and T6 skills of this line though it
changes to melee damage so you no longer get the positive and negative effects of
having a crushing damage skill. In terms of usefulness, the debuff and damage of
Concealed Blade is actually pretty decent, and the low recast timer makes it even more
useful. I would recommend getting an adept3 of Concealed Blade pretty early on
because you will be using it quite often and the upgrade increases the damage and the
debuff. Like all T6 damage skills you should eventually upgrade Shrouded Blade to
adept3 as well.
Double Attacks
12 Quick Flurry 19 Two quick attacks 34 – 57 damage x2
26 Vicious Flurry 37 Two attacks 85 – 142 melee damage x2
40 Aggravated Assault 56 Two attacks 138 – 231 melee damage x2
54 Vicious Assault 74 Two quick attacks 217- 362 melee damage x2
There really isn’t too much to say about our double attack line. As you can see it
is pretty self explanatory and just adds to our dps, no special properties or awesome
damage. This line use to be alot more useful because it had a piercing debuff
component as well as an interrupt. After the combat changes these are now just a
damage spell to throw into the mix. I would suggest holding off upgrading these to adept
3 until you have some of you more worthwhile damage/debuff skills upgraded.

48 Murderous Rake 99 Back attack + magic

327 – 546 melee damage

As you can see, brigands get two main lines of back attacks. Back attacks differ
from flanking attacks because you need to be 180° behind the target; whereas flanking
attacks you can be on its side or back, anywhere out of the mobs eyesight basically. The
Rake line is more of a magic mitigation debuff line as you can see. Because these skills
are on a 1 min. recast timer, they aren’t very useful for the damage, but rather the
debuff. The Backstab line on the other hand does a good deal of damage and is only on
a 30 sec. recast timer. I highly recommend getting Craven Delight adept3 right at level
38, as it only uses a Tier 4 rare which is usually pretty cheap, and it quite a bit of
damage.

627 – 1045 damage
48 Deception 99 High damage frontal

954 – 1590 damage
Ruse – this skill is one of the best skill lines brigands get! If you haven’t already read the
effects, this spell does a ton of damage for a low power cost. It is the brigands
best damage per power skill and at adept 3 they can do very nice damage. Trust
me, this is the one line you want to get an adept 3 of ASAP!
25 Escape 54 Group teleport to zone-in
(evac)
Group escape to zone-in
Escape – This is a unique scout skill that is also extremely helpful. Only the scout
archtype, and then the wizard and warden get an evac spell. The good thing
about the scout version is you can be moving while casting it and it has a shorter
cast time. This spell alone has saved me and my group so many times. If you are
about to die or get one too many adds, you can escape to the entrance of
whatever zone you’re in and save yourself from the exp. debt and armor repairs.
This spell is also a necessity for a couple of the J-boots heritage quest runs.
50 Debilitate 103 Back attack + Mitigation
debuff
345 – 575 melee damage
Decreases mitigation vs.
physical damage by 950
Debilitate – This is one of the two new unique spells you get at level 50. The huge
mitigation debuff that this skill brings will greatly increase your overall dps and
that of the group as well. This is another adept 3 that could possibly be worth
upgrading if you have the money. It increases to a 1325 mitigation debuff at
adept 3. Although this may not seem like much, it’s still extremely useful and a
skill that you can cast once a minute and forget about.

49 Run Through 45 Stealth attack + Str

299 – 498 melee damage
Decreases str by 36
The stealth attack and bow skill lines give you a taste of what it’s like to be the
predator class of scouts. Although our stealth line is much smaller and more limited than
the assassin stealth line, it is still useful to throw these skills into your damage mix for
added damage when other skills are refreshing. I recommend getting a Run Through
adept3 or master1 as it does have a good increase in damage when upgrading and I find
myself using it quite a bit on raids.
16 Strangling Throw 24 Double throw + snare 41 – 69 melee damage x2
Slows target by 32%
30 Maddening Throw 43 Two throws + stun +
throwback

Blurs vision of target + stun +
throws target back
44 Rapid Throw 61 Two throws + stun +
knockback
156 – 260 melee damage x2
Stuns target + throws target
back + blurs vision
Our throw line is very small but is useful for the effects, especially the latter two
skills. The knockdown effect of Maddening and Rapid Throw can be extremely helpful
when you need an extra stun or even for pulling. This skill makes brigands extremely
hard to duel as well because they have both long range and short range stuns. Many
times I still find myself using a long bow for the sheer pulling range, but if you do choose
to use throwing weapons these skills are more then worthwhile. They are just another
reason why the brigand is so versatile.

Tier 5 & 6 Adept 3 Stats
First off here is a list of the effects on all of the tier 5 & 6 (updating) adept3 skills.
This will be a good reference for you to see just how much the different effects improve
when upgrading them to adept3. My word of advice is to upgrade the damage spells with
low recast timers and good damage first. Gambit, Waylay, Concealed Blade, Run
Through are all good examples of the skills you should upgrade right when you get
them. I will also state my opinion on which skills you should upgrade to adept3 in the
coming sections.

Here we go, the main part of the skills section. In this section I will go over some
of the more important brigand skills as well as explain some of the benefits of the
different skill lines the brigand receives as you level up. For the tier 5 & 6 skills (meaning
lvl 40-60) I will also list the adept 3 upgrade stats so you can see just how much they
improve with the current system. Finally, I will tell you which skills you should upgrade to
adept 3 first and which skills aren’t really useful enough to warrant an adept 3 upgrade;
unless of course you have alot of rares or money laying around that you want to spend.
